Ready, Set, Go!

Ready, Set, Go! (RSG!) is a free bilingual and culturally-responsive early learning program.

A good start can make all the difference for a child about to enter school. That’s why we bring parents and their preschoolers together to learn side-by-side. Kids gain confidence and become independent, and their parents or caregivers learn how to support their future success in the classroom. Every day, we see light bulbs go on as new skills and ideas emerge.

Preschool Programs:

⇾RSG! Preschool is designed to help transition three, four and five-year-old children* and their parents/caregivers into Kindergarten. Through Parent-Child Interaction Groups, RSG! Parenting Groups, and home visits – our proven curriculum is effective and fun!

• Schedule: September to June
• Hours: 2 days per week, varies by program. 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• Classrooms located in 3 Portland elementary schools
• Programs are free to all residents of Oregon

⇾Early Ready, Set, Go! (eRSG!) uses our proven curriculum for RSG! Preschool, adapted to support families with children 0-3 years old.

• eRSG! Cherry Park Elementary:
  • Schedule: September to June
  • Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • Hours: 10:30 AM-12:30 PM
• eRSG! Earl Boyles Elementary:
  • Schedule: September to June
  • Days: Wednesdays & Fridays
  • Hours: 10:30 AM-12:30 PM

⇾P-3/Play and Learn is an Early Learning Hub to link young children and families to the school and provide an opportunity for parents to connect with other parents.

• Schedule: September to June
• Days: Mondays
• Hours: 11:00 AM-12:30 PM

⇾RSG! Home Visiting helps promote healthy child development. We do this by making in-home visits where we provide support to parents/caregivers, facilitate socialization for families, help access social services, and advocate for families with children from pregnancy to age 5.

• Home visiting scheduling is flexible to adjust to the schedules of working parents/caregivers
• Hours offered: 8am-5pm
• Schedule: Full year, September - August
• Days offered: Monday - Friday
